You referred to Chris McDougall's ‘Born to Run’ in your most recent episode. I was given a copy of the book for Christmas last year and it's changed my whole take on running. I've been running for about five years now and have run four City 2 Surfs and five Half Marathons in that time - but after reading B2R, I feel 'born again'. I've actually started thinking of myself as a runner and not just 'someone who runs', which I’m sure you’ll agree is a very different state of mind. I've altered my stride to run on my forefoot, I've begun strengthening my feet with some barefoot running over the last month and I now enjoy my running more than ever before. It’s been fascinating trawling around on the net and seeing the groundswell of runners talking, writing and debating about fore-foot/barefoot/minimal shoe running. I feel like we’re running at a very interesting time!
I’m going to check out the Newtons you referred to also. Once I feel my feet and calves have strengthened up enough, I want to seriously dump my Mizuno clod-hoppers and go minimal with Vibrams or something similar. The Newtons look really intriguing. I’d be keen to hear a little more about how you’ve found running in them.
I live up in northern Sydney adjacent to the Ku-ring-gai National Park and have the privilege of running in some beautiful bushland. On Saturday’s I run with a great group of guys who join me on my long runs. I’ve just had my biggest running month in two years and after the Sydney Half in May I’m seriously considering tackling my first Marathon in September.

I swim at Victoria Park and run around Blackwattle Bay during the week -it's very cool to hear you mention and even record your podcast from places I frequent!
I am half considering the SMH Half as my first half ever.. My last triathlon for the summer is the end of this month so I'd be free to focus on running after that, but whether I can commit enough time to the training for a HM is another matter.. but either way I'll be interested in hearing how your training for the HM goes. Would definitely be great to catch up at a race sometime!
Oh, and the forefoot running stuff was interesting -I hadn't come across it before. I may look into it further..

FYI I run trails which includes a lot of mud and stream-crossings and my shoes last about 200 miles.
