I found your podcast on iTunes a couple of months back and have been working my way thru the eps - just finished the latest one today, in fact.
I was about to describe myself as a new runner but actually, I've been doing it since March, making it 6 months now! I have a running buddy and we began by following Robert Ullery's podcasts for the Couch to 5k program. Great success; we did our first 5km fun run in July. I'm not fast - 40mins - but I'm definitely hooked on running.
So, my question to you: any recommendations on programs to help improve speed? I really need structure in my running and want to work up to running 5k in 35mins, as my next goal. After that... Well, we'll see. I'm happy at the "back of the pack" but do want to see some improvement or I'll lose motivation.
So this isn't just a help request from one person, maybe there's a podcast topic in there somewhere? A quick review of different programs - and where to find them - for different running goals.
